Responsibilities:

Cyber Security Vendor Management 

  • Manage outsourced 3rd party Cyber Security vendor contracts to utilize offerings and make the most of the partnership. 

Security Infrastructure Management 

  • Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and encryption tools. 
  • Regularly assess and update security configurations to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities. 

Incident Response 

  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan for timely and effective handling of security incidents. 
  • Investigate and analyze security incidents, identifying the root cause and implementing corrective actions. 

 Vulnerability Management 

  • Ensure regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing is performed to identify and remediate potential security risks. 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure timely patching and mitigation of vulnerabilities. 

 Security Awareness Training 

  • Work directly with our third-party security team to manage security awareness training programs to educate employees on security best practices and potential risks. 
  • Monitor and report on employee compliance with security policies. 

 Security Policy and Compliance 

  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations. 
  • Stay informed about changes in the regulatory environment and ensure ongoing compliance. 

 Network Security 

  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and investigate anomalies. 
  • Design and implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.

Security Audits 

  • Ensure regular security audits are conducted to assess the effectiveness of security controls and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Prepare and present audit reports to management and stakeholders. 

The Cyber Security Analyst will report to the IT Director and serve within the Wireless Guardian IT Department.

Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Previous job experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cyber threats and risk management. 
  • Certifications and technical skills required for the role: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CEH, CompTIA CASP+, Security+ or equivalent certification.  Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, or Linux certifications (nice to have) 
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Security Specialist supporting a Microsoft 365 environment. 
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, AzureAD or Entra, Exchange Admin Center, Intune Admin Center, and Microsoft Defender. 
  • Proficient in the administration of Microsoft 365 applications: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. 
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing security features in Microsoft 365, including Entra, Intune, and Purview. 
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Office 365 automation (a plus). 
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices. 
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI DSS. 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary range:

  • $85-$100k/annually
